This year, Christmas feels different. I feel different. Two years ago, I never thought I would experience a happy Christmas again. But here I am, surrounded by my kids, who are receiving the help they need and gradually healing from what they endured.

Today, I walked into the room and saw my eldest and youngest children happy and together.
This was a stark contrast to two years ago, when there was so little natural happiness in our home. Instead, it was replaced by a constant state of fight or flight, as we waited to see what challenges we would face next.
Watching all three children begin their healing process again this year truly highlights the importance of protecting each of them. Trauma is incredibly unjust when it is experienced by a child.
No gift in the world could ever compare to what I witnessed just before the following moment.
To everyone facing struggles, know that through the storm, when life feels unbearable, one day you may not be the same, but you will realise what you once thought was impossible: that you are beginning to heal.
Let’s embrace the joy we have and lift each other over Christmas!
Your life matters! Never let anyone dismiss your pain, history, or existence. Every day brings you closer to feeling alive again
From our family to yours, Happy Christmas! May your days be filled with love, hope, and healing.
